Job Description:

The opportunity


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Secondary Project engineer to join our team. In this role, you should have a strong background in secondary engineering for GIS and AIS substations. You should have extensive experience in handling various substation projects, including exposure to 11kV/22kV/33kV/66kV/220kV/500kV GIS and AIS projects.


How you’ll make an impact            

  • Preparing and reviewing of project engineering deliverables in accordance with contractual scope.

  • Reviewing vendor offers and supplier drawings to comply with technical requirements and specifications.

  • Monitoring the scope and initiating variation requests, amendment processes, etc., wherever required.

  • Proposal of innovative, optimized, and cost-effective solutions for projects and tenders.

  • Estimating and monitoring of manhours required for project and tenders for secondary engineering part.

  • Coordinating with other disciplines such as primary, MEP, and civil for inputs and interfaces.

  • Coordinating with supply chain management for procurement-related activities, coordination with project lead engineer and project manager for overall schedule & execution.

  • Coordinating with customer/consultant for approvals as per project schedule.

  • Coordinating technical issues during FAT, etc.

  • Site visits as required for projects and tenders.

  • Coordinating with site team for technical matters during installation & commissioning.

  • Preparing and reviewing BOQ, deviation list, clarifications, technical proposals for tenders.

  • Preparing and coordinating for as-built documentation for applicable scope.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in secondary engineering.

  • Knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.).

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
