Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking a Lead Project Manager to join our growing Cybersecurity team!

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and executing multiple high-impact cybersecurity initiatives from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and security priorities

• Driving the centralization of the PMO by standardizing tools, templates, and reporting structures to enhance consistency, efficiency, and governance across projects

• Coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to align on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring seamless execution and stakeholder satisfaction

• Tracking project budgets, and financial reporting in close collaboration with finance teams

• Utilizing modern project tracking and collaboration tools to ensure real-time visibility, accountability, and documentation across teams

• Acting as the primary point of contact for high-complexity projects, driving accountability, mitigating risks, and ensuring timely resolution of issues

• Preparing and deliver clear, compelling stakeholder communications and executive-level presentations—strong storytelling and PowerPoint skills are essential to effectively convey strategy, progress, and outcomes

• Collaborating with internal teams to define detailed project requirements, scope, priorities, and resource plans to ensure successful and timely execution

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversees a variety of large-scale projects of high complexity

• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

• Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes

• Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis

• Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions

• Provides expert information to internal and external clients on complex issues

• Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders

• Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project

• Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED

• Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience

• Experience: 6+ years

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
