Job Description Summary:
The SCADA Engineer role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements for the L2 SCADA system, leading to its deployment, and management of changes. This role will also monitor system performance, provide user support, and maintain up to date documentation.
Overall, this role plays a crucial part in ensuring the successful implementation and operation of the L2 SCADA system within the organisation.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1.Lead Tender
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define the requirements for the L2 SCADA system and ensure that they align with the business goals and expectations
Manage the L2 SCADA system tender process to ensure the selected option is the best fit for the company
Negotiate the support and commercial terms for the agreement
2. Manage Deployment
Develop the rollout plan for the L2 SCADA system
Lead the deployment of the L2 SCADA system and ensure that it is simple, standardised and optimised
Manage acceptance tests and commissioning for each site
3. Change and Develop
Manage and supervise the changes in the L2 SCADA system and ensure that they are consistent and efficiently integrated with other systems and processes
Develop specifications for new system configurations or features that are necessary or requested by the business
4.Support and Maintain
Monitor and evaluate the performance and quality of the L2 SCADA system and identify and resolve any issues or gaps
Provide training, guidance and support to the L2 SCADA system users
Develop and maintain the knowledge base documentation of the L2 SCADA system
5. Support other operational solutions
Develop knowledge of other operations supporting solutions (EAM, Metering, Doc. Management, Project Management, etc.) and how they connect with the L2 SCADA.
Later support the wider team on the development of the other tools.

Problem-solving skills - be able to identify solutions to concerns and challenges that arise.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact confidently with management and third-party suppliers to efficiently establish problems and explain solutions.
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
SCADA Systems, have a solid understanding of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. Familiarity with their architecture, components, and operation.
Networking, good command over networking concepts. Knowledge of protocols, network security, and communication between SCADA devices.
Systems & Data, fundamental knowledge of computer security, databases, and server configuration.
Desirable
RTU Devices, familiarity with Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) devices.
SCADA Communication Protocols, knowledge of communication data flow and protocols used in SCADA systems.
Electric Grid Energy Management Systems, understanding of energy management systems within the electric grid.
Relevant experience
Essential
Practical experience in designing, implementing, and deploying SCADA systems.
Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network communication within SCADA systems.
Experience integrating SCADA systems with other industrial control systems (ICS), databases, and enterprise software.
Involvement in SCADA projects, including planning, execution, and documentation.
Education and qualifications:
Degree qualified in Engineering or Information Systems

Travel Requirements
Should be able to travel within Europe or other geographies where the company has sites.
