As Head of Finance for our client, a global leader in clean energy investment management, you would be responsible for overseeing each and every element of the company’s financial management. This includes the full scope of financial planning, forecasting, analysis, accounting, budgeting, and reporting.

To qualify for this once in a life-time role, you will need:

  • CA(SA) or equivalent

  • Experience in renewable energy industry

  • To have exceptional negotiation skills

  • An ability to manage large, complex, business development opportunities

  • An excellent track record of building both internal and external relationships

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage accounting processes on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Prepare analysis and reporting schedules for monthly results and annual forecasts
  • Oversee the general ledger and ensure its accuracy
  • Conduct cash flow forecasting and manage treasury functions
  • Maintain and enforce accounting and administrative processes and controls
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
  • Perform monthly consolidations using OneStream and Power BI
  • Manage external audits and debtors days
  • Create the annual budget and report on monthly variances
  • Control departmental budgets
  • Participate in new project modelling and approve new investments
  • Conduct KYC of new clients and perform local market studies for project financing
  • Monitor project performance, including construction costs and tax optimization
  • Arrange finance for projects and maintain lender relationships
  • Provide support to the business development team
  • Monitor loan covenants and report on them
  • Ensure compliance with social and tax obligations
  • Ensure legal compliance for infrastructure projects and foreign investments
  • Implement and monitor inter-company service agreements
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage for projects and the business
  • Facilitate the claims process and maintain a risk register
  • Set and review KPIs for the finance and legal teams
  • Review payroll processes
  • Possess strong technical accounting and finance analysis skills
