THIS IS A MISSING PERSONS REPORT FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER IN THE SOLAR C&I SECTOR!  

It’s been a while since we’ve seen any of you and we’re starting to get worried.  

LAST SIGHTED: 
Last seen closing a multi-million-Rand C&I Battery Storage deal at an overpriced coffee shop. 

COMMONLY VISITS: 
Large infrastructure and commercial property meet-and-greets. Sometimes can be found in a field providing solar PV solutions to large-scale farmers.

DESCRIPTION: 
The friendly Business Development Manager has extensive experience in deal origination and is highly adept at building networks amongst all levels of stakeholders in the industry. They are incredibly chatty and enjoy making friends but watch out for their slick negotiation skills!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drive business development and lead origination 
  • Define and implement marketing strategies to increase order volumes and profitability 
  • Identify additional products or services for client's offering 
  • Develop relationships with senior executives and business owners 
  • Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to develop commercially feasible solutions 
  • Provide technical pre-sales services to prospective clients 
  • Provide reporting on sales activities and results 
  • Provide market intelligence, including competitors' activities 
  • Stay up to date on developments in the renewable energy industryÂ
