We’re looking for someone with experience overseeing the financial aspects of SPVS, and in group and strategic finance in the REIPPP environment. If you have experience in the
WIND sector of the renewable energy industry and experience with accounts payable then we want to hear from you!
Our client boasts a global portfolio of almost 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects. Their ideal candidate is a
qualified CA(SA). You should have an embedded understanding of the shared services environment and know precisely how to recharge and recalculate charges. Your expertise should lie in
international transactions between inter-linked entities.To excel in this role, you will need to be stellar
at tracking and directing the movement of money between these entities. You should also possess experience in
overseeing SPVs and have an embedded understanding of industry policies, systems, and structures. Additionally, you would be responsible for
coordinating the budget for the Annual Operating Plan an the drafting, reviewing recommendation of polies. Salary subject to experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee financial reporting and maintain accounting records for companies in the portfolio
- Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and records
- Maintaining financial data in the operating system
- Performing month-end closing routines
- Managing fixed asset ledger
- Reporting monthly management accounts
- Implementing internal controls and ensuring compliance
- Administering financial affairs of community trusts registered as PBOs
- Preparing statutory results for South African entities in compliance with International Accounting Standards and company law
- Compiling and submitting verification data for CDM Programmes of Activity for applicable power plants
- Prepare statutory and compliance reports (PAYE, VAT & income tax returns, annual financial statements)
- Audit readiness and assistance during audit
- SARB approvals for intercompany payments
- Interpreting financial results and records
- Manage treasury activities (Cash reporting and forecasts, maintain treasury banking relationships review, bank reconciliations)
- Handle quarterly ED reporting, submitting reports for each project company within required timelines
- Identify areas for policy improvement or process enhancement
- Manage external audit process
- Assist in compiling Enterprise and Socio-Economic Development reporting
