Manages the entire sourcing and procurement cycle from sourcing and purchasing to settlement. Sources for diverse and competitive sources of raw materials, utilities and other services. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Monitors inventory requests, production schedules and purchase requisitions to coordinate purchasing activities for current/anticipated demand of materials and services. Collects suppliers’ quotations and examines bids. Identifies and selects suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality and delivery. Negotiates terms, and manages supplier relationships. A Manager (M3) manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Responsibilities typically include: Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less). Problems faced are difficult to moderately complex. Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.The Role<ul><li>As a leader, this Procurement manager will serve as a trusted business advisor to stakeholders, providing best-in-class technical consulting from a sourcing and external benchmark/industry perspective.</li><li>Lead a team of category managers responsible for the procurement of services: HR, Marketing, consulting, professional services, and Finance.</li><li>Strategic Thinking &amp; Market Insight</li><li>Ability to analyze complex procurement scenarios and align negotiation strategies with long-term business goals.</li><li>Negotiation Expertise</li><li>Manage the development and execution of sourcing projects, reverse auctions, and initiatives ensuring alignment with the overall priorities and objectives of Hitachi Digital as well as the specific business function.  </li><li>Proven success negotiating high-value, complex service contracts generating significant savings and non-monetary benefits.</li><li>Experience structuring contracts to optimize cost, mitigate risk, maximize cash flow, and ensure performance and compliance.</li><li>Analytical Acumen</li><li>Ability to evaluate financial implications, total cost of ownership (TCO), and ROI of IT solutions.</li><li>Use of procurement analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and assess vendor risk.</li><li>Vendor Relationship Management</li><li>Familiarity with post-contract management practices to enforce terms and monitor vendor performance.</li><li>Develop and maintain a best in class global preferred supply base for respective area of responsibility.</li><li>Experience fostering long-term partnerships with strategic vendors.</li><li>Ability to manage vendor scorecards, SLAs, and escalation processes.</li><li>Communication &amp; Emotional Intelligence</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate needs and negotiate effectively.</li><li>High emotional intelligence to navigate high-stakes discussions and build trust.</li><li>Experience influencing IT Executives and IT Senior leaders to adopt Procurement best practices in negotiations with large Software and Hardware suppliers.</li><li>Ethical &amp; Regulatory Awareness</li><li>Commitment to ethical sourcing and compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory standards.</li></ul>What You’ll Bring<ul><li>Experience managing people</li><li>5 years of experience in Procurement sourcing and category management.</li><li>Understanding of basic procurement law with correlating ability to negotiate/oversee:  master supply agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, change requests, amendments.</li><li>Experience in some of the following Procurement categories: Marketing, Human Resources, Professional Services, and Financial Services.</li><li>Demonstrated track record of leading the sourcing process, working with stakeholders across businesses and geographies. </li><li>Proven ability to communicate, influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and must be a team player.</li><li>Excellent negotiations skills with the ability to negotiate large volume, high risk deals independently.</li><li>Strong supplier management skills. </li><li>Experience working in eSourcing tool environment a plus.</li><li>Other Requirements<ul><li>Able to navigate a fast-paced multi-national environment with personnel from all over the many regions and will seek to foster excellent working relationships.</li><li>Must be well organized, confident in navigating demands from stakeholders, a natural self-starter with a willingness to learn and embrace new methodologies, whilst employing excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.</li></ul></li><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree</li></ul>#LI-GG1<h1>About us  </h1>We’re a global, 1000-stong, diverse team of professional experts, promoting and delivering Social Innovation through our One Hitachi initiative (OT x IT x Product) and working on projects that have a real-world impact.
