We are continuing to enhance and deliver business value on our existing systems while iteratively modernising our technology landscape to support greater scalability, performance, and innovation.This creates a unique opportunity to balance short‑term delivery with long‑term evolution — shaping solutions that meet current business needs while progressively enabling a more modern, resilient, and flexible platform.Role Responsibilities<ul><li>Own and prioritise the Product Backlog, ensuring user stories are clearly defined, actionable, and meet the Definition of Ready.</li><li>Translate business needs and product strategy into deliverable features, maintaining strong alignment to measurable outcomes.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Product Managers to align delivery with product vision and roadmap.</li><li>Support development teams by clarifying requirements, providing business context, and guiding sprint objectives.</li><li>Lead creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artefacts (e.g., workflows, mock-ups).</li><li>Actively engage with business stakeholders, including front-office users, to gather feedback and refine solutions.</li><li>Apply customer-centric thinking using data, feedback, and usability insights to validate priorities.</li><li>Coordinate cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment.</li><li>Drive Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritisation reviews.</li><li>Review prototypes, proofs of concept, and delivered increments to ensure alignment with business needs.</li><li>Support UAT and ensure functional outcomes meet customer and business expectations.</li><li>Take ownership of delivery outcomes, ensuring committed scope is delivered and blockers are actively managed.</li></ul>Experience / Competences<h3>Essential</h3><ul><li>Proven experience as a Product Owner within financial services technology.</li><li>Strong ability to translate business needs and strategy into clear, actionable backlog items.</li><li>Experience managing and prioritising a Product Backlog with well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.</li><li>Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including front-office / business users, with the ability to challenge and refine requirements.</li><li>Outcome-driven mindset, with ability to define and track delivery impact (e.g., user experience, adoption, efficiency).</li><li>Demonstrated ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes, with strong focus on follow-through and decision-making.</li><li>Hands-on experience with Agile delivery (Scrum / SAFe), including running ceremonies and maintaining delivery momentum.</li><li>Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy while aligning with broader product strategy.</li><li>Experience managing dependencies and navigating complex delivery environments.</li><li>Understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle or complex enterprise workflows.</li><li>Familiarity with Agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence.</li></ul><h3>Desired</h3><ul><li>Experience in financial markets, trading, broking, or liquidity platforms.</li><li>Exposure to transformation or modernisation initiatives (e.g., platform upgrades, re-architecture).</li><li>Familiarity with financial messaging protocols (e.g., FIX, XML) or API-based integrations.</li><li>Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and modern authentication frameworks (e.g., OAuth2, Okta).</li><li>Understanding of testing practices, including UAT and regression approaches.</li><li>Experience using design tools (e.g., Figma) for concept visualisation.</li><li>Familiarity with OKRs or outcome-driven planning frameworks.</li><li>Experience working in SAFe or scaled Agile environments.</li></ul>Role Band &amp; Level: Manager, 7#LI-Hybrid #LI-MIDNot The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
