You will build the systems, analytics, and insights that help Elemental make better investment decisions, identify emerging trends, and demonstrate the real-world impact of our work. This role will report to the Chief Operating Officer.Key Responsibilities Include:                         Data Strategy &amp; Infrastructure<ul><li>Lead the design and execution of Elemental’s organizational data strategy, including the portfolio annual shareholder survey. </li><li>Maintain and continuously improve centralized data infrastructure, primarily within HubSpot and Airtable</li><li>Improve the organization's CRM architecture, including stakeholder engagement, pipeline tracking, and reporting systems</li><li>Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools, automate workflows, integrate emerging technologies, and improve organizational efficiency</li></ul>Impact Analysis &amp; Insights <ul><li>Analyze organizational and portfolio performance, pipeline activity, investment outcomes, and market trends, with a focus on analysis of the annual shareholder survey results.</li><li>Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reporting tools that translate internal and external industry datasets into actionable insights</li><li>Identify emerging themes and trends across sectors, and proactively surface strategic opportunities and risks</li><li>Partner with investment, growth, communications, and leadership teams to translate insights into compelling narratives, reports, case studies, and thought leadership</li><li>Help oversee and manage external data partnerships, including relationships with data analytics firms</li></ul>Portfolio Coaching <ul><li>Establish portfolio-wide impact measurement frameworks and reporting standards </li><li>Coach companies on identifying the metrics for growth, impact and commercialization and linking metrics to environmental and community outcomes, business performance and revenue growth</li><li>Support the development of impact narratives that resonate with customers, partners, policymakers, and investors</li><li>Advise companies on building scalable data collection, management, and reporting systems</li><li>Facilitate peer learning by identifying common challenges, benchmarks, and best practices across the portfolio</li></ul>About You You're naturally curious and passionate about using data to better understand the world. Our offer will be within the range as required by certain state laws and individual salary offers will vary within the range depending on location, relevant education, knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer comprehensive employee benefits, including a professional development stipend and three weeks paid time off. LocationWe strongly prefer candidates located near one of our headquarters: Honolulu, San Francisco, and New York.
