As a Senior Cost Intelligence Consultant you will be expected to take an active role through out all stages of a project. Working on large-scale infrastructure and capital programmes you will have an opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, including on high-profile projects, working alongside other construction professionals in multi-disciplinary teams. You will need to be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.Here's what you'll do<ul><li>Support and deliver commissions in area of efficiency &amp; value identification, assurance &amp; continuous improvement, construction economics research &amp; analysis, plus general cost intelligence services.</li><li>Have experience in one or more of the following technical disciplines:</li><li>Cost Model and / or Cost Estimate development</li><li>Statistical Analysis to support benchmarking and efficiency exercises</li><li>Business Cases development and Cost Benefit Analysis</li><li>Defining business models</li><li>Identify cost reduction opportunities through benchmarking and efficiency exercises</li><li>Possess analysis capabilities which be applied to client and industry datasets to create data-driven solutions.</li><li>Work with the leadership team to mature and develop service offerings with practical and viable solutions for our clients.</li><li>Provide assistance to senior management in the preparation of technical and financial proposals</li><li>Ensure effective delivery through project and financial management for complex assignments.</li><li>Maintain high quality professional outputs.</li></ul>Here’s what we’re looking for:<ul><li>Confident in ability to write technical reports and prepare presentations</li><li>Astute with problem solving and developing novel solutions to meet client needs</li><li>Demonstrable experience and/or relevant qualification in one or more of the following: cost modelling, cost estimation, business case development, cost-benefit analysis or statistical analysis</li><li>Knowledge and interest in the infrastructure sector and its ongoing developments</li><li>Strong capability in the Microsoft Suite of products</li><li>Coding language knowledge would be a bonus. Python, R etc</li><li>Effective decision making with strong verbal and written communication</li><li>Working knowledge of database development</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to work with a range of clients and consultants</li><li>Background working in a consultancy environment or contracting experience in a relevant discipline.</li><li>Proven experience working on large scale infrastructure projects in Transport, Water, Energy and other relevant sectors</li><li>Defence experience would be advantageous</li><li>Buy-in to achieving deadlines set by clients and managers</li><li>Take pride in quality and appearance of clear record of error checking and demonstration of validity in results</li><li>Able to produce auditable outputs with client deliverables</li></ul>If you're passionate about innovation and turning bold ideas into reality, AECOM welcomes you.
