We have deep product market fit with a growing customer base of utilities, power producers, electricity suppliers, and other market participants. It's time to accelerate customer adoption across the country. We're looking for an experienced, motivated, and consultative Account Executive to drive the sales process from initial customer touchpoints to deal-close, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving revenue growth. In this role, you'll guide prospects through discovery, demos, and deal negotiation, ensuring every engagement is tailored to their needs and pain points to deliver customer value and high retention rates. You will partner closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and various channel partners to build pipeline, along with best-in-class revenue operations that provides support through high-impact tools and processes. You will also partner deeply with our Markets and Technical Services team to scope, on-board, and deploy customer projects, as well as our Customer Success team to support customer needs over the long-term. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring strong sales acumen, enterprise B2B SaaS experience, and the ability to manage complex deals with multiple stakeholders. Success in the role growing Amperon's US business will lead to meaningful career growth opportunities. You’ll be <ul><li>Building pipelines both directly and in close partnership with inside sales. </li></ul><ul><li>Coaching SDRs on nurturing stronger leads while building your own pipeline. </li></ul><ul><li>Communicating with Marketing to drive high-impact demand generation campaigns. </li></ul><ul><li>Working closely with channel partners to identify collaboration opportunities that can drive pipeline and accelerate sales trajectories. </li></ul><ul><li>Managing prospective accounts through to deal-close and beyond to drive expansion sales. </li></ul><ul><li>Building and maintaining relationships with decision-makers and influencers at prospective accounts to accelerate opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Developing account strategies to move prospects through the sales cycle. </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding client needs and pain points to provide tailored solutions. </li></ul><ul><li>Presenting at US energy conferences and industry events, serving as a primary representative for Amperon. </li></ul><ul><li>Developing deep US power market expertise and establishing yourself as a high-impact partner to prospects and customers. </li></ul><ul><li>Leveraging HubSpot, Gong, and other sales/revenue operations tools to maximize productivity and track activities. </li></ul><ul><li>Developing and evolving your territory strategy based on customer feedback and sales success. </li></ul> What Success Looks Like <ul><li>Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue and closed-won targets </li></ul><ul><li>Sales cycle time decreases through effective qualification and deal management </li></ul><ul><li>Strong, collaborative relationships with Marketing and SDRs that result in a healthy, high-quality pipeline </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrate proficiency with the MEDDPICC framework, or a strong willingness to learn and apply it, as a proven method for improving overall sales performance </li></ul><ul><li>Accurate and timely pipeline forecasts that drive clear visibility for leadership </li></ul><ul><li>High customer satisfaction and smooth hand-offs to Markets &amp; Technical Services and Customer Success ensure smooth on-boarding and long-term customer retention </li></ul><ul><li>Continuous feedback loop with Marketing and Product to improve lead quality and sales effectiveness </li></ul><ul><li>Well synthesized product and GTM feedback provided to Product and leadership to help them prioritize and invest in a more impactful offering for the region </li></ul> We Think This Role Would Be A Great Fit If You Have <ul><li>3+ years of experience in the US electricity/power sector with proven knowledge of US power markets, grid operations, and/or energy trading. Experience with energy data, forecasting, or analytics solutions strongly preferred </li></ul><ul><li>5+ years B2B SaaS sales experience with average deal sizes of US$25,000–100,000 </li></ul><ul><li>Experience selling data and/or technical solutions into utilities, independent power producers (e.g., merchant generators), electricity suppliers and other load serving entities, or market operators </li></ul><ul><li>A track record of managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholders through SaaS and similar solutions sales contexts </li></ul><ul><li>Existing relationships within the US power and utility sector preferred </li></ul><ul><li>Strong understanding of deregulated and regulated energy markets across the US </li></ul><ul><li>Strong communication and presentation skills with both technical and executive audiences </li></ul><ul><li>A self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing company </li></ul><ul><li>Based in Houston, TX </li></ul> Benefits &amp; Perks While we are serious about our company's culture, we aren't going to force "culture" to prove that we are cool and fun.
