Job OverviewA Production Operative’s primary responsibility will be to assemble the product to the specification of the customer and liaise with Engineering team when required. The role is based at our site in Gateshead site and reports into the Manufacturing Team Leader. Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role the Production Operative will be responsible for the following:<ul style=""><li style="color:rgb(118,113,113);font-size:10pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">To carry out assembly work independently to ensure production targets are met on a daily basis in order to supply the customer with a quality proven product</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Work to understand and follow engineering drawings and standard work instructions</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Complete basic paperwork using PC’s and data base systems</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Complex quality checks to ensure quality products are shipped to customers </li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Ensure work area is prepared for the next day. This includes housekeeping, materials and build information</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Liaise with engineering regarding build and test issues</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Carry out Evo Motor build training for new operators</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Assist engineering team with dyno testing</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Comply with all relevant HSE legislation, local policies, and procedures</li></ul> The RequirementsWe’re looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:<ul style=""><li style="color:rgb(118,113,113);font-size:10pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Able to follow instructions and production schedules</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Able to act quickly when a problem arises</li></ul> Bonus PointsIt would also be great (but not essential) if in addition to the above you also had:<ul style=""><li style="color:rgb(118,113,113);font-size:10pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Experience within a manufacturing environment although full training will be given.</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Experience of motor building processes and procedures, stator winding, stacking and building.</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Electrical IPC awareness – wiring.</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">ESD Awareness, handling PCB boards</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Experience of Battery building and manufacturing (energy storage solutions)</li><li style="font-size:11pt;margin:3px 0px;letter-spacing:0.25px;line-height:1.6;">Hand assembly tooling skills</li></ul> QualificationsA recognised qualification is required to demonstrate proficiency in key skills: English Literature, English Language, Maths and ICTRelevant experience could also be considered.
