The successful candidate will have a superior professional background at a high caliber institution, having exceeded in Engineering or a Mathematical Science Discipline and multiple years of work experience in Data Engineering and Data Science roles.Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Maximizing performance of assets through building and developing tools and products that determine overall health of solar and battery storage assets.</li><li>Use existing tools to develop, implement, and improve methods for detecting, reporting, and analyzing performance issues.</li><li>Lead the implementation of monitoring software to capture project data and perform detailed analysis for solar and BESS KPIs and monthly reporting.</li><li>Keep abreast of the latest PVsyst and performance modelling developments, develop new methods/tools as appropriate, and train team members on any new procedures.</li><li>Develop strategies to optimize performance of renewable assets and identify areas of underperformance, drive improvements and corrective actions.</li><li>Support Project Development team with inverter, battery, transformer and tracker/racking. technologies in support of equipment selection and procurement and build a team to support the reliability analysis of various components.</li><li>Communicate with the Operations Engineering team on revenue impacting underperformance events.</li><li>Continuously evaluate software systems, processes, procedures and drive improvement within the performance and operational engineering teams.</li><li>Coordinating with internal and external engineering and construction teams on project substantial completion testing and verifying or running capacity tests.</li><li>Aide in the technical due-diligence process for potential acquisitions.</li><li>Review technical documents and acceptance test during the project handover process.</li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Solar/STEM Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.</li><li>2+ years of professional experience in a Solar and BESS Performance Engineering.</li><li>Experience with Solar Modelling tools like PVsyst and PlantPredict.</li><li>Excellent understanding of Operational Data and energy calculation methodologies.</li><li>Proficient with Python and PVlib.</li><li>Excellent at problem solving and analytical skills.</li><li>Experience with deployment of AI to improve workflows.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Prior professional experience working in renewable energy space.</li><li>Strong preference for Machine Learning deployment methodologies.</li><li>A strong desire to work in the solar energy industry.</li><li>Experience with DAS/SCADA.</li><li>Extended Experience with data analytics, databases and visualization tools (eg Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Databricks, Power BI).</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarize complex technical issues, both in writing and verbally.</li></ul>Why Join Arevon?
