This position offers hands-on experience in both indirect and direct tax functions and will work closely with the tax and finance teams.   Key ResponsibilitiesIndirect Tax Support<ul><li>Assist with the use of tax and accounting software platforms (e.g., tax calculation and ERP systems).</li><li>Review, verify, and process customer sales tax exemption certificates.</li><li>Maintain and update tax codes and exemption statuses within ERP systems.</li><li>Prepare and provide exemption certificates to vendors as needed.</li><li>Set up new customer tax profiles and update existing ones within tax systems.</li><li>Assist in gathering documentation requested for state and local sales/use tax audits.</li><li>Support Indirect Tax Manager with special projects.</li></ul>Direct Tax Support<ul><li>Assist with reconciling state and local income tax general ledger accounts.</li><li>Compile and review information used in preparing income tax returns.</li><li>Respond to various state income and franchise tax notices.</li><li>Prepare supporting information for tax notices or audit requests.</li><li>Research tax issues and draft summary memoranda as directed.</li><li>Support Tax Senior Manager with special projects and analysis.</li></ul>Your Profile / Qualifications<ul><li>Current student pursing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>Proactive with the ability to work independently and in a team environment</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification when needed</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li></ul>Did we spark your interest?
