Start here. Grow here.We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Director to lead and further develop the electrical engineering discipline within our Building Services team in Belfast. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for technical excellence, innovation, and strategic direction across a diverse portfolio of healthcare, education, and school sector projects.You will provide authoritative technical leadership, mentor and inspire teams, and act as a trusted, client-facing expert—helping to deliver sustainable, high-performing, and compliant building solutions.What you’ll doTechnical Leadership<ul><li>Lead the electrical engineering discipline across healthcare, education, and school projects, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and regulations</li><li>Oversee and review designs for LV/HV distribution, lighting, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency systems, security, ICT, and BMS/BAS</li><li>Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific standards, including HTMs, HBNs, and NHS requirements</li><li>Champion innovation and the integration of low-carbon and sustainable technologies</li><li>Provide technical assurance and governance across all electrical design outputs</li></ul>Project Delivery<ul><li>Lead the technical delivery of multiple projects from concept through detailed design and construction</li><li>Provide electrical leadership across all RIBA stages</li><li>Review, approve, and sign off technical documentation, specifications, and reports</li><li>Collaborate closely with mechanical, public health, sustainability, and digital/BIM teams to deliver fully integrated building services solutions</li></ul>Team Development<ul><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of electrical engineers</li><li>Support resource planning, recruitment, succession planning, and performance management</li><li>Implement and maintain best-practice processes, QA/QC procedures, and adherence to internal and industry standards</li></ul>
