Amprius Technologies is seeking a technically fluent Technical Program Manager to join the Product team. This role owns product lifecycle execution across a portfolio of active NPI programs — tracking products from early R&amp;D through EVT, DVT, PVT, and transfer to production.The Product team is responsible for all product development programs at Amprius. We work across R&amp;D, Engineering, Operations, contract manufacturers, and customers spanning defense, aerospace, and electric aviation. This role sits at the center of that coordination, ensuring every product moves efficiently through each stage of its lifecycle.Requirements<h3>Responsibilities</h3>Cell Development  (30%)<ul><li>Track products across the full lifecycle — from R&amp;D concept and early cell builds through EVT, DVT, PVT, and production transfer</li><li> Create and maintain Product Requirements Documents (PRD) and Statements of Work (SOW) for assigned programs; update as requirements evolve through the product lifecycle</li><li>Translate customer requirements and use cases into internal performance targets and CTQ parameters</li><li>Monitor technical progress at each lifecycle stage; identify gaps and drive resolution with R&amp;D and Engineering</li><li>Interpret lithium-ion cell characterization and test data to assess performance, reliability, safety, and qualification readiness</li><li>Understand lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes and track their impact on product quality, schedule, and qualification readiness</li><li>Review engineering deliverables from internal teams and contract manufacturing partners; identify process or performance gaps</li><li>Apply structured problem-solving methods to technical failures, test deviations, and manufacturing escapes</li></ul>Program &amp; Project Management  (30%)<ul><li>Own program schedules, milestone tracking, and risk registers for assigned NPI programs</li><li>Chair regular program status reviews; drive decisions and action item closure across R&amp;D, Engineering, and Operations</li><li>Manage milestone gate execution across EVT, DVT, and PVT phases through to PPAP completion and production transfer</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional deliverables across internal teams and external partners</li><li>Support qualification of new manufacturing sources to expand and diversify the supply base</li></ul>Communications — Internal &amp; External  (20%)<ul><li>Prepare and deliver regular program status updates, risk summaries, and milestone reports to customers and internal leadership</li><li>Author customer-facing technical documents including EVT, DVT, and PVT reports, qualification summaries, and deviation notices</li><li>Represent Amprius in customer technical meetings and program reviews; own agendas and follow-up</li><li>Communicate proactively on risks — provide context, data, and a recommended path forward</li></ul>Supplier &amp; CM Management  (20%)<ul><li>Maintain regular technical alignment with contract manufacturers and suppliers — daily or weekly touchpoints covering program status, open issues, and deliverable progress</li><li>Coordinate CM documentation packages supporting design freeze, PPAP, and production readiness</li><li>Support qualification of new manufacturing sources; coordinate audits, sample builds, and process reviews</li><li>Track supplier open issues and corrective actions; escalate delinquent items with context and recommended response</li></ul> <h3>Required Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related technical field</li><li>5+ years of program or project management experience in a hardware or manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience managing NPI or product qualification programs from development through production</li><li>Prior experience working directly with contract manufacturers and suppliers</li><li>Korean language fluency — Preferred for CM and supplier interface</li><li>Working knowledge of lithium-ion cell testing — electrochemical characterization, cycle life, rate testing, and safety/abuse testing</li><li>Familiarity with lithium-ion cell manufacturing processes — electrode fabrication, cell assembly, formation cycling, and aging</li><li>Proficiency in project management tools such as Asana, Microsoft Project, or equivalent</li></ul> <h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent</li><li>Background in battery, electrochemical device, or energy storage product development</li><li>Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, and AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality frameworks</li><li>Experience in defense, aerospace, or electric aviation programs</li></ul>Physical Demands &amp; Work Location: <ul><li>Work performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards</li><li>May need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, respirator and safety shoes when entering the lab </li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Comprehensive compensation package includes base salary + RSUs. Salary range for this role is $163,400 to $212,295.
