He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the PHGs 250 SMRs units, H2 compressor and backup system based on the Air Products Ain Sokhna. Working alongside the AP personals at site and country to ensure the smooth and reliable operation and maintenance of all aspects of the Air Products Ain Sokhna facility. Nature and ScopeSt Gobain site in Al Ein Sokhna is Air Products 3rd fully owned and operated plant in Egypt.The plant consists of :<ul><li>2 x PHG250 small Steam Methane Reformers (SMR).</li><li>H2 compressor.</li><li>Backup system</li></ul>The customer is St Gobain. The Air Products plant is located within the customer’s site. The products from the Air Products plants go directly to the mix station that AL is mixing with N2 before sending to St Gobain area. There is a high level of integration between St Gobain and Air Products with respect to feedstock’s, products and utilities. The products are critical to Glass plant operations.The plants run on continuous basis and there is a strong emphasis of high reliability and high efficiency.Principal Responsibilities:<ul><li>Understand all relevant EH&amp;S regulations applicable to the facility and develop plans on how they will be implemented at the facility to ensure compliance.</li><li>Understand and implement Air Products EH&amp;S work processes including emergency preparedness and incident management.</li><li>Report, and where possible, eliminate all potential hazards by using the Air Products Basic Safety Practice (BSP) system.</li><li>Regularly participate in site and operations safety meetings to ensure all safety related issues are identified, discussed, understood and then successfully resolved.</li><li>As part of the on call team, responsible for the security and safety of site, liaise with the customer as appropriate.</li><li>Maintain company rules for discipline, punctuality, absenteeism, etc.,</li><li>Maintain good housekeeping and tidiness in the facility.</li><li>At all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li><li>Support of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the H2 plant, including troubleshooting plant process problems, carrying out the daily plant activities and participating in the plant projects.</li><li>Ensure that customer requirements are met at all times, by direct liaison and administration of the site quality procedures.</li><li>Working with AP personals at site and support resources to achieve productivity targets.</li><li>have expert knowledge of and to operate and maintain all systems, identified under job dimensions’ section so that the optimum performance and reliability is achieved at all times.</li><li>Make entries into plant logbook to include all operating data, messages, unusual events, work done &amp; spares used.</li><li>Liaise with personnel oncoming to site to communicate plant conditions, work instruction; existing work permits in force etc. </li><li>Collect production data, check for errors or signs of plant problems. Be able to resolve discrepancies prior bringing to the attention of Facility Manager.</li><li>Carry out routine and specific work tasks as directed by Facility Manager or his delegate and to be able to identify work required.</li><li>Start, stop and isolate equipment and unit processes as required.</li><li>To be fully conversant with all modifications carried out on site as the plant/customer requirements dictate.</li><li>As and when possible, learn to operate any other plants in the facility to allow more flexibility in working arrangements.</li><li>During plant shutdowns maintain overall control of safety and operation on the plant.  Provide assistance and support to the team performing the maintenance.</li><li>Provide technical, operational and trouble-shooting assistance at the facility as and when required. </li><li>Ensure that routine maintenance as designated by the SAP PM system and non-routine maintenance as and when required, is diligently performed to the necessary standards, utilizing the resources within the plant and outside resources where required (contract labor / outside technicians).</li><li>Work with minimal supervision on the Air Products, site - designated continuous shift or “On – Call” system. This requires working and managing all job activities, for periods of time up to and beyond a full shift period, when circumstances make this necessary.</li><li>Respond to critical alarm dial outs from the Plant (or by other contact from customer etc) by remote connection to site to ensure product supplies remain on line to customer as required.</li><li>Carry out remote start-up of Plant/equipment as and when required during period On Call.</li><li>Provide cover as required and when available.</li><li>To be able, as required, to stand in for the Facility Manager should circumstances make this necessary.</li></ul>Minimum Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries.</li><li>Excellent Communication &amp; coordination skills.</li><li>Fluent oral English and excellent written English.</li></ul>#LI-LG1 We are the world’s largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
