Install hardware/software, perform hardware refreshes, and manage break-fix of hardware/software.Receives detailed instructions on new deskside tasks and/or projects, little to no guidance on routine tasks. Contributions generally require high attention to detail and can have impact on the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Respond to all tickets assigned to the site’s deskside support group and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.</li><li>Research and utilize necessary resources to troubleshoot new problems while escalating those unable to be resolved</li><li>Record and track interactions with end-users and related activities in the service desk tool</li><li>Create Knowledge Base articles as repetitive issues arise</li><li>Provide site IT support encompassing:<ul><li>PC configuration and troubleshooting - OS, hardware, and software;</li><li>PC maintenance/preventative maintenance;</li><li>PC replacement (tech refresh)</li><li>Network cabling activities, where applicable</li><li>Printer installation, networking, configuration and troubleshooting;</li><li>New user setup on Active Directory network;</li><li>Support for client applications;</li><li>Troubleshooting phone issues that Service Desk cannot resolve and escalates to local support</li><li>Support for peripherals such as monitors, scanners, external hard disks, USB devices, keyboards, mice, etc.</li><li>Maintain department loaner equipment and administer checkout process</li><li>Review and record daily event logs</li><li>Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products</li><li>Support equipment used in conference rooms and auditorium</li></ul></li><li>Provide IT support for all local systems/applications</li><li>Perform project work as directed</li><li>Ventura Regional Team<ul><li>Be an essential part of the Ventura Region IT Team supporting multiple sites</li><li>Work closely with local site and with other team members using approved tools and reporting mechanisms to ensure that we follow the policies and procedures that have been put into place to ensure a safe, secure, updated computing environment</li></ul></li></ul> Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
