Accountabilities:<ul><li>Handles and manages the O&amp;M Organization's entire warehousing and material distribution functions, including the main storeroom, satellite storerooms</li><li>Handles physical distribution of material, tools and equipment throughout the Metro system</li><li>Receives and inspects incoming and outgoing material, tools and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and control of inventory assets throughout an MMIS (Maintenance Management and Information System)</li><li>Follows implemented procedures to ensure on-time delivery of material based on such factors as systemwide usage, individual storeroom usage, distribution channels, distribution resources and storage requirements.</li><li>Maintains receipt inspection procedures to ensure incoming material meets specification requirements.</li><li>Coordinate discrepancies with suppliers to ensure maximum benefit and parts availability to the O&amp;M Organization.</li><li>Prepares requisitions for stock replacement, repair parts, and tool calibration.</li><li>Handle supplies, materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more</li><li>Conducts physical inventory of supplies, materials, tools and equipment</li><li>Complies with all maintenance procedures and instructions including;  safety, quality, and environmental procedures</li><li>Performs duties as instructed/directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager</li><li>The role requires flexibility and efficiency which require shift rotation, weekends and holidays work typical of major infrastructure projects, and operating transit systems</li><li>Performs additional cross functional job duties as required</li><li>Enhances and maintains positive working relationships with internal customers to maximize operational support, credibility and responsiveness.</li></ul> Required Skills/ Knowledge:A minimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse operations​Holder of a valid US state’s driver’s license.Education:High School diploma or equivalentPay for this position is $26.91 an hour. Benefits:  Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
