<h2>Overview</h2><p>An Omni Human Resources Intern will work closely with the human resources team on items pertaining to employee benefits, staffing/retention, employee investigations, and various projects.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Assist in recruiting for hourly and professional positions.</li> <li>Assist with onboarding and new hire orientations.</li> <li>Assist in the screening of candidates via phone and scheduling interviews for hiring managers.</li> <li>Work efficiently in the Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS).</li> <li>Communicate effectively with hiring managers on their staffing needs and employee relations.</li> <li>Assist with HR projects.</li> <li>Assist employees with benefits.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field.</li> <li>Must be able to work in office throughout Summer and going into the Fall (limited hours). </li> <li>Holds a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.</li> <li>Strong professional verbal and communication skills.</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal skills, team coordination, and the ability to work with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.</li> <li>Highly detail-oriented and organized. </li> <li>Self-driven and able to complete tasks without specific direction.</li> <li>Ability to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.</li></ul><p> </p><p><em><strong>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. </strong></em></p>

<p>OmniSource, LLC is a multifaceted metals-recycling company&mdash;one of North America&rsquo;s largest processors and distributors of scrap and secondary metals. We collect, process, and resell a wide variety of scrap metal. Through recent expansions and acquisitions, we can now process 7 million tons of ferrous scrap per year and more than 1 billion pounds of nonferrous metals. We currently operate more than 70 collection and processing facilities, including 11 high-capacity shredders as well as other metals processing facilities, and employ about 2,500 people. Our primary collection and processing facilities are in the Midwest, the Southeast, and the mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Moreover, utilizing a wide-ranging fleet of trucks and containers, railcars, and barges to collect and haul metals, our reach stretches across North America.
