We generally base our salary decisions on factors including but not limited to, relevant work and leadership experience, education, demonstrated performance, internal equity, and in some cases, geographic location. Scope of Job: The Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Operations Manager and support him/her in overseeing the process and success of assigned operational maintenance work while utilizing vast technical skills and experience to perform advanced troubleshooting and repair activities.  The operations supervisor will perform the daily assigned work and assist with schedules, pulling on appropriate resources, and ensuring that proper preventive and corrective actions are taken to improve the performance of installed technologies. This position is on site at our Willow Springs site located in Rosamond, CA.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Technical Leadership: <ul> <li>Lead technical teams by overseeing their execution of daily maintenance and repair work plans to the expected performance standard, safety, and schedule.</li> <li>Ensure effective communications between field technicians and the operations manager.</li> <li>Assist the operations manager with performance of QC assessments of work by technical team. </li> <li>Serve as the technical expert in troubleshooting, resolving complex repairs, check the quality of work execution and coach the less skilled team members on the assigned tasks.</li> <li>Act as a lead and assist field technicians with HV operations.</li> <li>Execute scheduled &amp; unscheduled maintenance of generating assets, including BOP and SCADA communications.</li> <li>Successfully perform switching at substations, substation inspections and maintenance activities.</li> </ul></li> <li>Operational Management Support:</li></ul><ul> <ul> <li>Support operations manager with planning and allocation of available resources and reevaluation of maintenance priorities to maximize facility output while minimizing costs.</li> <li>Conduct inventory management activities including research associated with spare parts and specialty tools needs.</li> <li>Assist with creating, reviewing, and approving management reports, Work Requests and performing TECO transactions.</li> <li>Assist operations manager with all safety aspects at the site including performing periodic safety walks to drive the highest safety standards and safety compliance.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement and performance improvement campaigns projects to improve operational KPIs.</li> <li>Act as a backup responsibility to the Operations Manager</li> </ul></ul><ul> <li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> Supervision of Others:<ul> <li>Technical oversight of frontline operations staff and support in overseeing external contractors.</li></ul>Working Conditions:20% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment.  80% of time is spent outside of the office, in the field performing troubleshooting, repairs, guiding field personnel, auditing safety and quality of operational maintenance activities, accommodating training needs, as well as assisting Site Manager in overseeing activities performed by contractors and vendors. Fiscal Responsibilities:None<h2>Qualifications</h2>Education/Experience:<ul> <li>High School Diploma and or equivalent required.</li> <li>Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Senior Technician or 3 years in a similar Lead Technician role.</li></ul>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: <ul> <li>Must possess a valid current driver’s license and successfully meet organizational requirements to operate motor vehicles.</li> <li>Advanced troubleshooting and repair skills.</li> <li>Understanding of operational site performance and relevant operational KPIs.</li> <li>Knowledge of EDFR Policies and procedures.</li> <li>Required to read and interpret technical drawings of associated renewable energy technologies.</li> <li>Demonstrated thorough understanding of key safety concepts and work practices.</li> <li>Good communication and meeting facilitation skills required.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to:Stand, climb, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is frequently required to talk or listen.The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.<ul> <li>Able to work at heights, including climbing up and descending towers, entering nacelles and hubs at extreme heights (wind turbine generators only)</li> <li>Able to work in a mechanical environment. This may have been achieved through formal training, previous work experience as an auto mechanic or the ability to demonstrate that an individual is mechanically inclined.</li> <li>Able to operate company vehicles (field trucks) both on site as well as on public roads and highways.  Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV printout.</li> <li>Demonstrate good work habits, including but not limited to attendance, and maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.</li></ul>
