This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, marketing, and customer engagement. In this role, you will focus on selling our AI-enhanced battery cells for drones, robotics, and other applications.  You will be identifying and targeting customers, managing accounts, and engaging with customers in the defense and commercial sectors at global trade shows and conferences. You will help communicate SES AI’s unique value proposition, bridging the gap between technology and practical applications.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop an understanding of SES AI’s battery portfolio and related technology.</li><li>Identify and qualify new leads, set up discovery calls, and develop leads into opportunities.</li><li>Nurture new opportunities and develop these into customers. Work with Drones BU Sales leadership to close opportunities.</li><li>Meet and exceed sales performance goals and company-wide business goals.</li><li>Manage sales accounts internally and external communication with the customers and key stakeholders.</li><li>Execute outreach campaigns, content, and marketing initiatives to raise awareness of SES AI’s battery products in the battery and defense/commercial communities.</li><li>Engage with potential customers to understand their technical challenges and position SES AI’s solution.</li><li>Represent SES AI at global conferences, trade shows, and industry events.</li><li>Maintain and accurate and healthy pipeline of leads, contacts, and customer interactions within CRM systems.</li><li>Effective cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, legal, and engineering from initial discovery to close to managing customer accounts. </li></ul>Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.<ul><li>Experience Level: 1–5 years of sales experience, including customer-facing roles.</li><li>Negotiation Expertise: Proven sales and negotiation experience with a track record of successfully closing contracts, commercial agreements, or complex B2B deals.</li><li>Organization: Highly organized with the capacity to simultaneously manage a pipeline of active customer projects in various stages of development; strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Travel: Ability to travel globally when needed to attend trade shows and conferences.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Industry Knowledge: Background in sales, customer support, customer success, energy, or the battery industry.</li><li>Communication Skills: Highly persuasive communicator with excellent written and verbal skills; comfortable pitching and adapting messages for stakeholders ranging from C-suite to engineers.</li><li>Customer Success: Deep understanding of customer voice and requirements; ability to pitch technical solutions and elevate broader business goals.</li><li>Risk Management: An aggressive, proactive approach to identifying deal-blocking risks and solving problems before they impact timelines or budgets.</li><li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Excel at collaborating across teams and working side-by-side with technical and leadership teams.</li><li>Autonomy &amp; Drive: Self-motivated approach to execution; comfortable working independently and being outspoken about what is needed to close deals.</li><li>Passion &amp; Interest: Eager to engage with partners and learn new technologies; demonstrated passion for innovation, batteries, and the defense sector.</li></ul> <div><div><div>The salary range for this position as required under applicable pay transparency laws.</div><div>Salary Range</div><div>$80,000—$100,000 USD</div></div></div>
