This role reports directly to the Site Controller and plays a key part in supporting both manufacturing operations and business development efforts. The Cost Accountant will partner closely with cross-functional teams to analyze current product costs, evaluate sales data, and develop accurate pricing models for new business opportunities.</p><h2>What you'll get to do</h2><ul><li>Analyze and maintain standard costs for products, including materials, labor, and overhead</li><li>Partner with manufacturing teams to review production processes, identify cost drivers, and recommend efficiencies</li><li>Evaluate current cost structures and sales data to support pricing strategies and profitability analysis</li><li>Develop detailed cost estimates and pricing models for new business proposals and customer quotes</li><li>Monitor and report on cost variances, including material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption</li><li>Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to inventory and cost accounting</li><li>Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, particularly related to cost of goods sold and manufacturing expenses</li><li>Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation and compliance with accounting standards</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to align cost assumptions and business strategies</li><li>Continuously improve costing methodologies and reporting tools</li></ul><h2>What you bring to the team</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>3+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Experience in contract manufacturing or design-to-build environments is a plus</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail</li><li>Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively across departments and present financial insights clearly</li><li>Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting</li></ul><h2><strong>We want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operate</strong></h2><p>Re:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
