Digital Project Manager

<div>We're on the lookout for a Project Manager with digital project experience, a high level of ownership, organization, and collaboration skills, and a passion for creating a more sustainable and equitable world for all life on Earth. We are looking for someone to join us full-time, and we can offer a salary range of €30,000 - €40,000, depending on your experience.  Our vibrant team is spread across Spain, Portugal, and the UK. You are relentless when it comes to exploring and finding better solutions and making suggestions to improve the way we do things.</li><li>Ensuring your team creates and maintains comprehensive and easily accessible project documentation.</li></ul> A day in the life of a Digital Project Manager at VizzualityWe’re looking for someone who can work across teams at Vizzuality, collaborating with peers in business development, technology, design, and science. You will be the main point of contact with clients, helping them to follow our processes and helping them understand and prioritize the users' needs that their projects will need to fulfill to be a success. You will also be responsible for the budget and the timeliness of our projects, as well as keeping team members informed and engaged so they perform at their best. <ul><li>You deeply understand our purpose and will work relentlessly to align it to our projects and the way we make decisions. </li><li>You have the skills to understand the user's needs, challenge solutions, and help the client prioritize requirements to build the best project possible within time and budget. </li><li>You can learn to work effectively with our partners and clients and build a fruitful relationship. As part of that, you’ll be able to describe how our teams work at Vizzuality, to help clients understand the project process and the key collaboration points along the way.</li><li>You will be responsible for ensuring projects are developed on time and to the highest quality.</li><li>As our projects are flexible and all different, some days you could be focusing on defining a roadmap and project strategy. Some other days you could be thinking about product definition and what's the best way to solve a client’s need. And other days you will see yourself helping your team grow and deliver better. It's key that you can have a flexible and adaptable approach.</li><li>You will spend a lot of your time being the point of contact between the client and the project team, understanding and translating mutual needs, to add value to the project.  You will understand the client's and team's needs </li><li>You are also a great communicator and facilitator. You constantly scan your team's skills and expertise to seek opportunities to improve quality, value, and client satisfaction. You know when to lead, delegate, and empower your team to do great things.</li><li>As our projects are implemented worldwide, you are comfortable working with different people, across different cultural contexts and backgrounds. </li><li>You will also work across different time zones. This means sometimes adapting your schedule to meetings late during the day to adapt clients on the West coast of the USA, for example.</li><li>You might be required to travel abroad from time to time to run workshops and face-to-face meetings with clients.</li></ul> These are some of the things you will be achieving in your first year at Vizzuality In your first month:<ul><li>You’ll shadow one of our PMs so you get used to the way of doing things at Vizzuality.</li><li>You’ll familiarise yourself with many of the project documents from previous wireframes, designs, feature descriptions, initial proposals, and client communications.</li><li>You’ll have time to learn the various software systems we use for managing projects and participate in weekly and daily project meetings.</li><li>You’ll get to know people from the other functional teams: science, design, front-end, back-end, and business development.</li><li>You’ll be assigned to projects to work on with support from another PM.</li></ul>By the 3rd month:<ul><li>You will be autonomous in your work. </li><li>You will be the first point of contact with our clients. </li><li>You'll contribute to new proposals and come up with new ideas about existing or new work.</li><li>You’ll be involved in the work planning of your team, to enable delivering our projects on time and within budget. </li><li>You will work closely with your project team to plan the next releases and development sprints.</li></ul>By the 6th month:<ul><li>You’ll be PMing a few of our groundbreaking projects (we absolutely mean this when we say you’ll have ownership over your projects within six months!). </li><li>You'll be meeting with clients, working with our teams, and building the next great work from Vizzuality.</li></ul> Compensation, Benefits &amp; Growth.Our compensation and benefits are part of a great career opportunity with the potential for you to grow and work in something with a massive transformational purpose.
