About this opportunityThe purpose of the HSES Advisor position is to provide oversight and drive consistent implementation of the Health, Safety, and Environmental systems across the sites, to ensure the organisation meets its legal and ethical obligation to provide a safe and environmentally conscious workplace Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies in line with Australian regulations.</li><li>Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards, manage risks, and drive corrective actions.</li><li>Provide practical advice and support to leaders and employees on HSE and sustainability matters.</li><li>Lead thorough incident investigations, ensuring root‑cause analysis and timely reporting to relevant authorities.</li><li>Stay up to date with legislative and industry changes, updating policies and procedures to maintain compliance.</li><li>Deliver training and awareness programs to build capability and promote a strong safety culture.</li><li>Collaborate across departments to embed HSE and sustainability considerations into everyday operations and decision‑making.</li><li>Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs to evaluate and continuously improve HSE and sustainability performance.</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Proven experience in HSE and sustainability management within an Australian manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Australian health, safety, environmental, and sustainability legislation.</li><li>An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and recommend meaningful improvements.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience driving cross‑functional initiatives.</li><li>Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation aligned with Australian regulatory standards.</li><li>Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.</li></ul>
