You would be directly moving the needle on Heirloom’s core technology to enable a low-cost, scalable, and reliable design to meet our goal of removing 1 billion tons of CO2 by 2035. In this role, you will be expected to constantly challenge our assumptions and push the limits of design and manufacturing to achieve our ultimate targets.As part of the R&amp;D equipment design team, you will independently lead complex electro-mechanical subsystems through the entire product lifecycle with learning rate as a key driver. You will design low-volume parts for challenging environments, produced via a variety of manufacturing processes including but not limited to: welding, sheet metal stamping, casting, roll forming, extrusions, etc.. You will select and integrate automation equipment like motors, actuators, and sensors into your subsystem designs in tandem with our controls and software teams.
