What you'll do:<ul><li>Provide technical direction and support during the development, construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable energy assets.</li><li>Ensure all projects meet design standards and maintain high-quality engineering designs.</li><li>Collaborate with customers, utilities, AHJs, and third-party consultants to support the design and engineering of complex projects.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry developments, new project requirements, and emerging trends to inform project strategies.</li><li>Share technical knowledge by coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout various project phases.</li><li>Deliver design, modeling, and technical support from initial customer solution designs through to successful project implementation and operation.</li><li>Model and optimize engineering designs, review engineering studies (load flow and short circuit analysis), create networking designs for site communication to <a></a><a>meet</a><a></a><a></a> project specifications and regulatory standards.</li><li>Create preliminary 1-line for projects in development to depict equipment sizing and interconnection topologies.</li><li>Provide technical support to O&amp;M team for operational systems.</li></ul> RequirementsWho you are:<ul><li>BSEE with a passion for power systems and renewable energy or equivalent experience. </li><li>5+ years of relevant experience in power generation including MV distribution systems. </li><li>Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, codes, and standards.</li><li>Experience with Battery storage systems (BESS) with or without PV projects coupled.  </li><li>Knowledge on Interconnection Application requirement in multiple ISOs.</li><li>Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.</li><li>Collaborative and able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.</li><li> A lifelong learner committed to staying ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>At least 5 years of professional experience working in the renewables and environment industry, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions that accelerate the energy transition.</li><li>Familiarity of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency measures.</li><li>Experience with energy generation technologies including one or more of the following: solar, wind, battery storage, geothermal, biomass, fuel cells, EV charging.</li><li>Working autonomously on deadline-driven projects, your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will ensure on-time delivery to stakeholders.</li><li>Effectively manage multiple projects, consulting engineers and vendors, negotiate contracts and oversee schedules of deliverables</li><li>Ability to travel to client sites as needed.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program.</li></ul>Recommended extras<ul><li>Professional Engineering license, EIT or PE track.</li><li>Field experience commissioning distributed generation equipment. </li><li>Experience designing distributed generation, isochronous grids.</li><li>SCADA Protections and Controls Experience </li></ul>BenefitsAt Calibrant Energy, our priority is to ensure that every team member feels valued and supported.
