The intern will contribute to various projects related to some of WWF’s corporate partnerships. The PSE team works across WWF teams, including climate, food, freshwater, oceans, wildlife, forests, and science to coordinate private engagement efforts. The PSE team works with companies at all stages of their sustainability journey. Together, we map a vision that sets a high sustainability standard across a company’s entire operations, and well beyond.<h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Research and Analysis: Assist in industry research and analysis to support the team’s strategy for corporate partnerships focused on area-based conservation. This will involve critical thinking and light data entry.</li> <li>Grant Support: Support the Major Giving Portfolio Lead in tracking and researching grants and assisting in the preparation of proposals.</li> <li>Metric Tracking Support: Compile and monitor PSE Corporate Philanthropy data, providing updates to team members and assisting in the creation of consolidated reports (e.g., quarterly and end-of-year).</li> <li>Communication Materials: Support the PSE Corporate Philanthropy team in compiling and reviewing external- and internal-facing communications materials, presentations, and briefings.</li></ul>Learning Outcomes<ul> <li>Research and Analytical Skills: Enhanced ability to conduct industry research and analyze data related to corporate partnerships and conservation efforts.</li> <li>Grant Writing and Proposal Development: Understanding of grant research processes and experience in assisting with proposal writing.</li> <li>Metric Tracking and Reporting: Proficiency in tracking and compiling data, along with experience in creating basic reports.</li> <li>Communication and Presentation Skills: Experience in creating and reviewing communication materials and presentations, honing skills in clear and effective messaging.</li> <li>Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), communication platforms (Zoom, Outlook), and project management software (Monday.com) for scheduling and tech setup.</li> <li>Team Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively within a team environment, including active participation in meetings and contributing to group projects.</li> <li>Conservation Knowledge: Deeper understanding of WWF’s conservation priorities and strategies for engaging the private sector in environmental initiatives.</li> <li>Professional Development: Access to professional development resources and learning opportunities with flexibility to learn and network with industry experts.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications</h2><ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) required, with advanced degree in a relevant field such as business administration, environmental science, corporate sustainability, or policy and government affairs preferred.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Strong research skills</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Organized and self-motivated</li> <li>Identifies and aligns with WWF’s core values: <ul> <li>COURAGE – We demonstrate courage through our actions, we work for change where it’s needed, and we inspire people and institutions to tackle the greatest threats to nature and the future of the planet, which is our home.</li> <li>INTEGRITY – We live the principles we call on others to meet.
