Runwise is headquartered in New York City with established markets in Chicago, Boston, and Washington D.C.THE ROLEAs Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, procurement execution, picking/packing workflows, and team performance. You will directly manage warehouse associates, procurement specialists, and/or area managers, serving as the primary operational owner beneath senior leadership.This role requires someone who is hands-on but systems-minded—comfortable on the floor when needed, but focused on building scalable processes, standard work, and accountability as Runwise continues to grow.You will work cross-functionally with Field Operations, Scheduling, Onboarding, Logistics, Engineering, Product Management, and Vendors to ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time—without excess cost or downtime.<h3>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>Warehouse Operations &amp; Execution<ul><li>Own daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, and outbound shipments</li><li>Ensure install kits, service call bags, and technician van stock are built, replenished, and accurate</li><li>Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, safety, and layout optimization</li><li>Support hands-on execution during peak periods or operational escalations as needed</li></ul>People Management &amp; Leadership<ul><li>Directly manage and develop warehouse associates, procurement staff, and/or area managers</li><li>Set clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards</li><li>Coach team members on accuracy, efficiency, and process adherence</li><li>Act as the primary escalation point for warehouse-related issues</li></ul>Inventory &amp; Procurement Management<ul><li>Oversee inventory levels, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes</li><li>Partner with procurement to forecast demand and align supply with installation and service volume</li><li>Monitor purchasing activity, spending controls, and vendor performance</li><li>Participate in vendor and manufacturer calls as the operational representative</li></ul>Process Improvement &amp; Scaling<ul><li>Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements across warehouse and inventory workflows</li><li>Develop, document, and enforce SOPs</li><li>Improve picking accuracy, throughput, storage utilization, and inventory visibility</li><li>Utilize tracking tools and data to drive operational decisions and continuous improvement</li></ul>Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with Field Operations and Scheduling to anticipate material needs</li><li>Coordinate logistics and shipment timing to meet operational SLAs</li><li>Communicate clearly with stakeholders across all levels of the organization</li></ul>Who you are:<ul><li>Based in the New York City area</li><li>Comfortable leading teams while staying close to operations</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused</li><li>Able to communicate clearly with frontline staff and senior leadership alike</li><li>Proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments</li><li>Willing and able to work overtime or flex hours as operational needs require</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>4+ years of warehouse, inventory, or operations experience (with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role)</li><li>Experience managing people and workflows in a physical operations environment</li><li>Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail</li><li>Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities</li><li>High School diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree a plus but not required) </li></ul>Runwise is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
