The primary purpose of the Laboratory Technician is to ensure that products or processes meet specified quality standards and comply with industry standards including EFSA &amp; FDA requirements, and FSSC 22000 certification requirements.<ul><li>Salary: $92,250 + super per annum</li></ul>Your key responsibilities will be to:<ul><li>Conduct routine testing and analysis, record and monitoring of test samples in line with standard operating procedures.</li><li>Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process optimisation and present this data in graphic and written form.</li><li>Maintain the quality of testing through the calibration of test equipment the testing of laboratory supplies.</li><li>Train and mentor Production Operators on testing requirements</li><li>Conduct quality inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, materials, and finished products to identify areas for improvement and prevent defects.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve quality issues,root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Maintain quality documentation</li><li>Act as a liaison with customers, and suppliers to address quality-related inquiries, audits, and requirements.</li><li>Have intimate knowledge of FSSC 22000 V 5.1 and ongoing 3rd party system certification requirements.</li><li>Understanding of EFSA, FDA &amp; Customer specific requirements that relate to the site, and ensuring identified PRP’s are managed in line with requirements</li></ul>Your skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you’ll have:<ul><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a laboratory, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g.,Six Sigma, Lean, ISO standards).</li><li>Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and drive process improvements.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and compliance.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.</li></ul>
