The Joby Aviation team is made up of extremely talented, hardworking, proactive, and hands-on individuals, operating in a very fast-paced and rewarding environment. Come help us build advanced electrical powertrains as we make a mark in the transportation industry. </p><p> </p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul> <li>Adhere to Joby’s safety procedures and protocol.</li> <li>Own preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on manual, semi-automated, and fully automated manufacturing equipment.</li> <li>Contribute to setting up preventive maintenances in our SaaS maintenance platform.</li> <li>Order and stock service spares.</li> <li>Carry-out preventative maintenance to properly service and maintain all current and future production equipment. This may include utilizing hand tools and power tools, machine-shop fabrication equipment, electrical wiring and troubleshooting, working with high voltage and hydraulic/pneumatic pressure systems, mechanical component assembly, general equipment troubleshooting,</li> <li>Equipment to be maintained and repaired includes: robotic workstations, laser and resistance welders, process ovens, air compressors, vacuum pumps, electrical testing and inspection equipment, AOI, and AXI equipment.</li></ul><h2>Required</h2><ul> <li>High School diploma or GED equivalent</li></ul><ul> <li>Work Shift is Mon-Fri 7:30am-6pm </li></ul><ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of experience </li></ul><ul> <li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards of work  </li></ul><ul> <li>Motivated to support the company’s mission </li></ul><ul> <li>Able to operate multiple equipment per SOP and basic hand tools (electric and manual)</li></ul><ul> <li>Strong work ethic</li></ul><ul> <li>Able to adapt to sudden changes in daily priorities  </li></ul><ul> <li>Team oriented attitude</li></ul><ul> <li>Strong oral and written communication skills.  </li></ul><ul> <li>Excellent problem-solving techniques and analytical ability</li></ul><ul> <li>Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to daily plans   </li></ul><ul> <li>Able to lift 25-35 lbs. twice per hour and perform repetitive tasks</li></ul><h2>Desired</h2><ul> <li>Associates degree or higher  </li></ul><ul> <li>Experience working in manufacturing, repair, or service </li></ul><ul> <li>Experience working on high-voltage equipment </li></ul><ul> <li>Strong desire to continually learn and grow new skills  </li></ul><ul> <li>Robot controller and PLC programming experience  </li></ul><p> </p><p>Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $30 - $43 per hour.
