Based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Solect is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pattern Energy Group.  General Summary The Services Business Development Manager is responsible for meeting quarterly and yearly sales objectives. They are responsible for finding and developing new customers to create a robust “funnel” of active opportunities that facilitates meeting the company’s annual sales objectives. This position is responsible for developing business opportunities for off-base (non-Solect-installed) service agreements and Special Service Projects (SSPs) within the Customer Service Division of Solect Energy.  <h2>Responsibilities</h2>Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Sell off-base service agreements and SSP proposals to achieve revenue targets. Sell off-base services agreements and SSP proposals to meet revenue goals.</li> <li>Establish and maintain strategic accounts to drive sales.</li> <li>Develop proposals.</li> <li>Collaborate with internal resources throughout the SSP sales cycle for design, engineering, proposal creation, and contract support to help close new business.</li> <li>Track and update the status and metrics of all project opportunities in Salesforce.</li> <li>Follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction and identify additional projects, both with the customer and through their network.</li> <li>Handle miscellaneous activities and training.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2><h1>Desired Skills &amp; Experience Essential Requirements:</h1>The Services Business Development Manager should have at least three years of successful sales or development experience in the Commercial Solar and/or Storage Industry, or the Energy Sector; previous experience working with Commercial &amp; Industrial Sector customers in a collaborative setting; strong communications skills, ability to follow a disciplined project development and workflow process within a team, manage multiple engagements and projects daily; possess the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently.  The Services Business Development Manager should also have the following:<ul> <li>Will need to visit customer sites to establish a relationship with customers and assess account viability. </li> <li>Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or similar), and Salesforce or similar CRM packages.</li> <li>Contract Management experience</li> <li>Experience resolving AP and AR workflows/issues</li> <li>Strong knowledge of PV O&amp;M business and operations a plus</li> <li>Forecasting experience</li> <li>Formal education: minimum college degree, BS or BA. </li></ul>    The expected starting pay range for this role is $78,000 - $112,000 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may vary above or below these amounts based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels.
