And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Hitachi Rail USA is seeking a Material Expeditor / MRB Coordinator in support of our North American Vehicle projects. The Material Expeditor / MRB Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Warehouse Manager to ensure the accomplishment of onshore activities for the assigned projects. The position will be based in the Hagerstown, MD Area, with some travel to our manufacturing plants in Italy and customer locations in the United States.Main Tasks &amp; Responsibilities (but are not limited to) :<ul><li>Monitors vendor delivery schedules for on time arrival of goods for manufacturing.</li><li>Daily report of material coverage for assigned projects.</li><li>In coordination and collaboration with warehouse operations performs regular reconciliation of inventory for manufacturing feasibility analysis.</li><li>Oversees occurrence and disposition of non-conforming materials within a manufacturing and commissioning sites.</li><li>Coordinates and progress tracking of MRB meetings for evaluation and decision on final disposition of defective or non-conforming materials.</li><li>Collaborates with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure compliance with global standards.</li><li>Monitors on time implementation of corrective actions at vendor level. Contact person for NCR resolution.</li><li>Coordinates in collaboration with Project Operation team on site repair/rework/retrofit activities by external suppliers.</li><li>Coordinates in collaboration with Project Operation team on management of serialized components.</li><li>Oversees, document and plan materials management for introduction for manufacturing change notices until production staging.</li><li>Supports</li><li>Perform additional duties as needed</li><li>Adhere to company policies &amp; procedures</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Recent Mechanical Engineering Graduate or supply chain relevant degree with 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment.</li><li>Experience interfacing with inventory management, supply chain coordination, purchase order tracking, vendor liaison, quality control inspection, logistics planning.</li><li>Strong organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Able to establish efficient and effective communication with domestic or foreign vendors assigned.</li><li>Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask.</li><li>Able to be firm on company requirements for selected vendors.</li><li>Proficient in the use of Excel and SAP preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Able to work in under pressure in fast-pace environment.  </li><li>Able to work in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Able to work overtime, Weekends and holidays (If necessary)</li><li>A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment, result oriented approach, proactivity, autonomy and open mind.<ul><li>Available for short business travels.</li><li>Fluent in English.</li></ul>EDUCATION:<ul><li>BS in Mechanical Engineering Graduate or supply chain relevant degree.</li></ul>BENEFITS:  Hitachi Rail employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including Competitive Pay, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short &amp; Long Term Disability, Life &amp; Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, a Retirement Savings Plan, and Paid Vacation.
