The department is also critical for the delivery and performance of all Artemis Technologies vessels and is rapidly expanding its footprint within the company.  THE ROLE: The Structural Engineer will contribute to the design and development of Artemis Technologies eFoilerTM with primary focus on mechanical systems structural engineering, working at a system level with Structural Engineering and Naval architecture departments. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: <ul><li>Working with ATL design team, contribute to the structural engineering of the Artemis eFoilerTM vessels:</li><li>Structural engineering of Artemis eFoilerTM (Propulsion and Mechanical Control Systems).</li><li>Structural engineering of Vessel Mechanical Systems (steering, docking.)</li><li>Structural engineering of Systems and components.</li><li>Delivery of innovative 3D designs for components &amp; assemblies, focused on lightweight and cost-effective components, using CATIA V6.</li><li>Design, Check &amp; Approval of structural components in accordance with ATL Approval processes.</li><li>Carry out FEA and utilize hand calculations to verify designs as required.</li><li>Timely delivery of design, 3D CAD and production drawings to support the Head of Drive Train Integration and Mechanical Systems &amp; the team.</li><li>Collaborate with Manufacturing department to deliver high-quality, cost- effective construction and engineering methods.</li><li>Work closely with all members of the Technical Department to ensure the eFoilerTM package is of the highest standard.</li><li>Support ATL Technology Roadmap by staying informed with industry advances and state of the art.</li><li>Create, review, and approve technical documentation to support development, test, and compliance activities.</li><li>Ensure that the structural deliverables meet all appropriate regulations.</li><li>Attend team and 1-1 meetings and fulfil reporting requirements as required by Artemis Technologies.</li><li>Ensure compliance with Artemis Technologies Policies and Procedures.</li><li>Build good working relationships with across Artemis Technologies.</li><li>Contribute to shaping a culture that reflects Artemis Technologies Values and Guiding Principles and enables the company to achieve its goals.</li></ul> KNOWLEDGE AND SPECIALIST SKILLS: Education: <ul><li>University degree in Mechanical Engineering / other relevant engineering discipline such as Automotive or Aerospace (2:1 Hons or above).</li></ul>Experience: <ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a marine / automotive / motorsport / aerospace environment is required.</li></ul> Key Skills Required: Technical Skills:<ul><li>In depth understanding of structural mechanics and first principles and the ability to analytically solve problems using a first principles approach.</li><li>Experience in structural engineering across a range of materials in component and assembly design.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in design for manufacture and material selection.</li><li>FEA experience and in-depth understanding.</li><li>CAD knowledge and experience (CATIA V6/3DX preferred).</li><li>Able to undertake and interpret design analysis / verification through use of CAE.</li><li>Knowledge or experience with maritime structure a plus.</li></ul>  Communication skills:<ul><li>Demonstrable ability of capturing complex requirements.</li><li>Good report writing skills – clear, concise, and well structured.</li><li> Articulate written, visual, and verbal communicator. </li><li>Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.</li></ul>  Teamworking:<ul><li>Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and resolve.</li><li>An appreciation of, and an ability to, positively resolve issues arising from different cultures.</li><li>Ability to relate well to others, and build co-operative and collaborative working relationships, both internally and externally.</li><li>Genuine ability to act as a team player, promote.</li></ul> Organising and Time Management:<ul><li>Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.</li><li> Ability to coordinate with other departments and flag issues.</li><li>Flexibility to pivot direction quickly to meet deadlines whilst focusing on multiple deliverables simultaneously.</li><li>Dedication to completing tasks in high quality and timely manner with an ability to predict complex project timelines.</li></ul> Life at Artemis Technologies At Artemis Technologies, you will not just be starting a new job — you’re joining a passionate team.
