wastewater projects by building strong relationships with government authorities, consultants, contractors, utilities, and key ecosystem partners.Working closely with sales, application engineering, proposal, and leadership teams, you will:<ul><li>Drive strategic business development initiatives across the Water &amp; Wastewater segment</li><li>Strengthen engagement with Government Bodies, Municipal Corporations, and Infrastructure Authorities</li><li>Identify upcoming opportunities, influence project pipelines, and support business expansion</li><li>Build long-term customer relationships while driving sustainable business growth</li></ul>This role is not just about sales execution - it’s about building market presence, creating strategic influence, and enabling long-term business success.What you’ll be doingYou will play a critical role across multiple dimensions:🌍 Strategic Business Development<ul><li>Study of state budgets for water and waste water, identify projects , design the prequalification criteria and get connected with End-user and consultants.</li><li>Deploy Xylem products and specifications .</li><li>Develop strategic growth plans aligned with regional business objectives and market opportunities</li><li>Track upcoming projects, tenders, infrastructure investments, and policy developments within the water sector</li><li>Strengthen market positioning through proactive customer engagement and business expansion initiatives</li></ul>🤝 Government Liaising &amp; Stakeholder Management<ul><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with Government Departments, Municipal Corporations, Consultants, EPC Contractors, Utilities, and Regulatory Bodies</li><li>Engage with decision-makers and influencers to support business opportunities and project development</li><li>Represent Xylem in industry forums, customer meetings, exhibitions, and strategic discussions</li><li>Support pre-tender engagement, approvals, and coordination activities with key stakeholders</li></ul>📈 Sales Enablement &amp; Commercial Support<ul><li>Collaborate with sales, technical, and proposal teams to develop customer-focused solutions</li><li>Support techno-commercial discussions, negotiations, and project closure activities</li><li>Ensure alignment between customer expectations and internal execution capabilities</li><li>Drive customer satisfaction and long-term relationship management across key accounts</li></ul>⚙️ Market Intelligence &amp; Growth Strategy<ul><li>Monitor competitor activities, market trends, government initiatives, and infrastructure developments</li><li>Provide market insights and strategic recommendations to leadership teams</li><li>Identify new business models, partnerships, and growth opportunities within the water ecosystem</li></ul>👥 Collaboration &amp; Cross-functional Alignment<ul><li>Partner closely with internal teams across Sales, Engineering, Proposals, Service, and Operations</li><li>Ensure seamless coordination between customer requirements and project execution support</li><li>Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and regional business reviews</li></ul>All about youWe value relationship-building capability, market understanding, business acumen, and execution mindset over simply ticking every box.That said, here’s what will help you succeed:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Environmental or related field)</li><li>MBA preferred</li><li>10–15 years of experience in Business Development within the Water &amp;
