We are the customer support specialists, robot technicians, and vehicle operators who test and maintain our fleet of robots and support our customers to help ensure each delivery is the ultimate user experience.</p><p>The Fleet Technician role is an entry-level position requiring some technical and/or mechanical experience.  As a Fleet Technician, you will learn the basics of maintaining our Nuro fleet of vehicles and robots and supporting the transfer and extraction of vehicles and robots. </p><h2><strong>About the Work</strong></h2><ul><li>Implement daily vehicle checks and tasks to maintain efficient fulfillment of deliveries and high vehicle up-times</li><li>Perform retrofits and modifications on Nuro vehicles and robots </li><li>Troubleshoot hardware and software issues daily</li><li>Own program management efforts for fleet-related focus areas, working cross-functionally with internal teams. </li><li>Ensure procedures are followed and checklists are completed daily with proper escalation procedures as necessary and accurately.</li><li>Ensure quality and timely responses to the needs of our fleet of vehicles and robots</li><li>Respond to and handle emergencies with composure</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment</li></ul><h2><strong>About You</strong></h2><ul><li>College degree related to field (computer science, engineering, etc…)</li><li>Clean driving record</li><li>Proficiency in Linux</li><li>Able to perform light vehicle mechanical work</li><li>Enjoy troubleshooting complex problems that require learning and understanding hardware and software dependencies </li><li>Proactive and task-driven with strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Team-focused with a passion for continuous learning</li><li>Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business</li><li>Have the ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, and/ or stoop for long periods </li></ul><h2><strong>Bonus Points</strong></h2><ul><li>Automotive, Robotics, IT, or Technical training/ certification</li><li>Electrical troubleshooting with knowledge of schematics use</li><li>Experience with diagnostics on vehicle platforms </li><li>IT experience</li><li>Truck and Trailer driving experience</li><li>Experience working with Electric Vehicles and/or Autonomous Vehicles</li><li>5S methodology and lean practices</li><li>Experience in Computer Science, Electrical, and/or Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Python</li><li>High voltage certified</li></ul><p>At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $72,660 and $97,720 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
