This includes executing assurance testing, conducting deep-dive reviews into specific risk areas, and providing expert advice to mitigate risk exposure in a commercially sound manner. The role also supports meaningful analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders and ensures compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.Key ResponsibilitiesRisk Assurance<ul><li>Support the development and maintenance of Risk Management’s approach to risk and control assurance.</li><li>Contribute to the creation and execution of the annual assurance plan, ensuring coordination across TP ICAP’s three lines of defence and alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., FRC Board Declaration, SOX).</li><li>Deliver assurance activities and ensure findings are agreed with business owners and managed within the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.</li><li>Conduct deep-dive reviews to evaluate risk and control profiles and manage outcomes accordingly.</li><li>Stay current with industry best practices in risk assurance, including the use of AI, and apply innovations where appropriate.</li></ul>Risk Monitoring &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Support the business in monitoring its end-to-end risk profile through relevant MI, analysis, and commentary.</li><li>Track and report on significant issues, remediation efforts, and emerging risks.</li><li>Identify trends in risk-related data (events, issues, metrics).</li><li>Provide monthly updates and draft commentary for risk committees and leadership meetings.</li></ul>Training &amp; Awareness<ul><li>Promote a risk-aware culture through training and engagement initiatives.</li><li>Deliver sessions and materials that enhance understanding of risk management practices.</li></ul>Risk Management Leadership<ul><li>Foster commercially sound risk management across all lines of defence.</li><li>Champion continuous improvement and leverage external networks and industry bodies.</li><li>Respond to market events with timely risk interpretation and mitigation strategies.</li><li>Lead the assurance program within the Operational Risk Management Framework, including policy development and technical oversight.</li><li>Drive configuration and enhancement of the Group’s GRC system to support assurance efforts.</li></ul>Experience &amp; CompetenciesEssential<ul><li>Experience in risk and controls assurance, gained through control testing or internal/external audit.</li><li>Operational Risk experience in a medium to large financial institution.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field; or equivalent professional certification.</li><li>Solid understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory frameworks.</li><li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, summarise, and present data effectively.</li><li>Effective project management and prioritisation skills in a multi-demand environment.</li><li>Curious, self-starting mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.</li><li>Strong stakeholder management skills; able to build and maintain relationships across the Group.</li></ul>Desired<ul><li>Experience in an IDB or Capital Markets environment.</li><li>Additional risk-related experience beyond Operational Risk.</li><li>Familiarity with fixed income, equities, FX, emerging markets, and electronic/algorithmic trading.</li><li>Understanding of post-trade workflows supporting the above products.</li><li>Experience managing relationships across diverse environments including corporate, boutique, and private capital ecosystems.</li><li>Exposure to GRC system development and configuration.</li><li>Participation in industry bodies or external risk networks.</li></ul>Job Band &amp; Level: <ul><li>Manager / 6</li></ul>#LI-MID #LI-Hybird #NIJobsNot The Perfect Fit?Concerned that you may not meet the criteria precisely?
