BETA is seeking a passionate, outside-the-box thinker who will design, implement, and improve assembly processes for Alia manufacturing.  You will work with a bright and motivated cross-functional team, and deliver turnkey solutions to enable aerospace production at rate.  Your work will bring the highest safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing overall, long-term costs.  Your level of involvement will begin in the design phase of new programs all the way to stable, reliable production.</span></div><br><br><h3>How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation: </h3><ul><li>Provide recommendations regarding manufacturing personnel training and equipment requirements</li><li>Develops initial and final production readiness plans for new designs</li><li>Evaluates producibility of new designs through application/implementation of various process techniques and equipment capability studies</li><li>Works to meet quality and productivity goals for established or planned processes</li><li>Ensure Manufacturing Process Instructions are understandable, on-line, up to date and ready for production</li><li>Works in conjunction with engineering to develop consistent and repeatable processes that can be quantified by use of statistics or other verification and validation tools.</li><li>Analyze production data to identify processes causing inefficiencies in overall process performance</li><li>Lead continuous improvement implementation and productivity improvement</li><li>Promotes an atmosphere of excellence, high sense of urgency, high energy and exceptional communication</li><li>Understand certification requirements and assess and reduce certification risks in the overall process</li><li>Plan sufficient capacity to meet business targets for production output</li></ul><h3>Minimum Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline</li><li>2-4+ years of professional experience in assembly and test processes</li><li>Strong foundation of problem-solving skills, statistical process control, design of experiments, and simulation techniques</li><li>Understanding of design for assembly, lean manufacturing, and capacity planning techniques</li><li>Product/equipment Validation experience (i.e. AQAP, PPAP)</li><li>Exceptional project management and leadership skills</li><li>Strong verbal and written internal and external communication skills </li><li>Able to read and understand Engineering drawings (including GD&amp;T)</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel domestically or internationally</li><li>Demonstrated Lean Six Sigma experience</li></ul><h3>Above and Beyond Qualifications: </h3><ul><li>Aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience</li><li>Exposure to rapid manufacturing growth and preferably startup experience</li><li>Understanding of design for manufacture, design for assembly analyses</li><li>Certification/Certificate in Lean Manufacturing</li><li>Project Planning, cross-function leader of teams involving internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Cellular manufacturing, flow, pull, line balancing, standard work and time standards</li><li>Self-motivated, results oriented, and can work prioritize workload with minimal supervision</li><li>PLEX ERP system experience</li></ul><h3>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</h3><ul><li>Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs</li></ul><br><div><span style="font-size:18px;"><b>Build electric airplanes with us!</b></span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We encourage all driven candidates to apply, even if they do not meet every listed qualification.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:16px;">We are an equal opportunity employer.
