This role plays a key part in supporting the local audits, managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations across the teams and monitoring capital expenditure (CapEx), and ensuring proper accounting and reconciliation of derivative instruments.<h2>Job Description:</h2>Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting<ul><li>Review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting pack with country heads of departments in compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and company policies.</li><li>Ensure adherence to existing and new financial regulations and reporting standards. Monitor changes in relevant laws and accounting standards, and update internal processes accordingly.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date documentation of financial reporting and compliance policies.</li><li>Support the coordination of the external audits at country level, ensuring supporting the timely delivery of requested information and resolving audit queries.</li><li>Support the implementation of internal controls and recommend improvements to reporting, reconciliation, and compliance processes.</li></ul>Intercompany Reconciliations<ul><li>Review intercompany reconciliations monthly, quarterly and annually to ensure accuracy and working with the local teams for a swift resolution of mismatches or discrepancies.</li><li>Support treasury in the loan and dividend settlement quarterly across the group</li></ul>CapEx Monitoring &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Oversee the capital expenditure reporting and ensure proper classification and capitalization of assets.</li><li>Ensure compliance with fixed asset accounting standards and lifecycle management across the teams</li></ul>Derivatives Accounting &amp; Reconciliation<ul><li>Support the review of the accounting for financial instruments including swaps, and other derivatives in accordance with hedge accounting rules (e.g., IFRS 9).</li></ul>Stakeholder Collaboration<ul><li>Work closely with cross-functional teams including Tax, Treasury, Operations, and regional finance teams to ensure consistent financial practices and transparency.</li><li>Support the review of commercial tenders, agreements and contracts.</li></ul>Competencies and behaviours<ul><li>Demonstrable self-starter and can organise themselves well and manage workload.</li><li>Self motivated, with strong human inter-personal and communications skills, and a passionate, proactive, can-do attitude</li><li>Challenging mind set and responsiveness to customer requirements</li><li>A forward-thinking, problem solver</li><li>Sound organisational and prioritising ability</li></ul>Skills &amp; KnowledgeEssential<ul><li>Good knowledge of IFRS 101 and local gaap</li><li>Strong stakeholder management and influential skills</li><li>Good soft skills</li><li>Able to work in different cultures</li><li>High degree of accuracy</li><li>Solid business experience</li></ul>Desirable<ul><li>European Language skills desirable but not essential (Portuguese / Spanish)</li></ul>Relevant experience<ul><li>Qualified accountant with minimum 3-5 years' post-qualified experience with experience working in complex growing companies</li></ul>Education and qualifications<ul><li>Relevant Accountancy Qualification</li></ul>Software Programmes<ul><li>Microsoft Office Suite</li><li>Advanced Excel</li><li>Power BI</li><li>Microsoft Dynamics365</li></ul>Travel Requirements<ul><li>UK and European travel as required</li></ul><div></div>Pay And Benefits With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
