The CFO is responsible for capital planning and fiscal discipline to support profitable growth and project execution. The CFO plays a critical role in maximizing enterprise value through financial performance optimization, risk management, and investor readiness. This includes overseeing financial reporting, treasury and cash management, tax planning, risk management, M&amp;A, project finance, capital raises, and ensuring the company’s financial infrastructure supports scalability and strategic decision-making. The CFO must have a deep understanding of the solar industry and be able to develop and implement effective financial strategies to ensure the company remains competitive and profitable. Key Responsibilities:<ul> <li>Capital Planning &amp; Fundraising – Oversee capital structure, project financing, and fundraising efforts (debt, equity, tax equity); manage banking and investor relationships.</li> <li>Financial Reporting &amp; Compliance – Ensure accurate financial reporting, audits, and compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and investor requirements.</li> <li>Budgeting &amp; Forecasting – Direct company-wide budgeting and long-range forecasting aligned to strategic initiatives and project pipelines.</li> <li>Team Leadership &amp; Development – Build and manage the finance and accounting team; develop internal capabilities, controls, and reporting processes.</li> <li>Risk Management &amp; Internal Controls – Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks; ensure strong controls and governance frameworks.</li> <li>Operational Support – Partner with project development, execution and operations teams to maximize project-level performance, pricing, and cost controls.</li></ul> <h2>Qualifications</h2>Required Qualifications:<ul> <li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.</li> <li>Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial leadership roles, with at least 5 years as CFO or senior finance executive in a project-based or capital-intensive industry.</li> <li>Industry Experience: Proven experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, construction, or EPC sectors. Familiarity with federal and state-level renewable energy incentives, tax equity structures.</li> <li>Skills: Strong understanding of project finance, capital structuring, and M&amp;A. Demonstrated ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning in a high-growth environment. High level of integrity and ethical standards.</li> <li>Systems: Proficiency with financial systems (ERP, forecasting tools) and advanced Excel skills.</li> <li>Compliance: Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul> <li>MBA or CFA designation.</li> <li>Experience leading tax equity financing and M&amp;A transactions</li></ul> Physical Requirements:<ul> <li>Primarily office-based with standard physical demands.
