We are committed to continue building a diverse, passionate, and creative team dedicated to a future where every industrial facility, everywhere on earth, is powered by abundant, clean, low-cost energy.</div>Position Summary The Director of Transmission Strategy will lead Antora’s transmission and interconnection activities, including defining Antora’s transmission and interconnection strategy, advocating in front of RTOs/ISOs and utilities to create transmission service that works for flexible, low load factor loads, identifying ideal grid locations for our thermal energy storage projects, and ensuring rapid and cost-effective interconnections in partnership with our utilities. They will lead the internal team managing interconnections and will externally represent Antora with RTOs/ISOs, transmission providers, and utilities to shape policy and strategic outcomes.Roles &amp; Responsibilities <ul><li>Oversee interconnections for multiple 100+MW thermal energy storage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes.  </li><li>Develop strategies to minimize transmission costs, including designing innovative RTO and/or utility tariff structures to provide non-firm or dispatchable transmission services.</li><li>Direct analytical efforts and utilize tools to identify optimal project sites.</li><li>Act as Antora’s leading voice on transmission policy, engaging externally with RTOs/ISOs, utilities, and regulatory entities through testimony, written filings, white papers, and industry presentations.</li><li>Ensure strategic alignment across internal departments including business development, operations, and government affairs/policy teams.  </li></ul>Key Qualifications <ul><li>10+ years experience in transmission strategy, interconnection management, regulatory advocacy, or related roles within energy storage, renewables, utilities, or energy consulting.  </li><li>Experience influencing RTO/ISO transmission policy and cost allocation discussions. Strong understanding of transmission tariff structures and strategies to minimize associated project costs.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to indirectly lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts to advance company-wide policy objectives. </li><li>Proven ability to effectively manage in-house and external analytical teams and interpret results from interconnection and power flow analyses. </li><li>Exceptional communication and advocacy skills with experience representing organizations externally.</li><li>High degree of initiative and self-motivation, problem-solving creativity and ability to get things done well. </li></ul>Additional Qualifications Desired <ul><li>Experience working directly for RTOs/ISOs or transmission providers. </li><li>Established professional network within RTOs/ISOs and utility transmission stakeholders.</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid / Remote - San Jose, CASalary Range:  $174,000 USD - $244,000 USDSalary Basis:  AnnualPlease note that the salary range listed above reflects Antora Energy's estimated pay for this position.
