As an Aerodynamics Engineer on the Flight Sciences you will be responsible for the development and optimization of the aerodynamic model of the aircraft. You'll Bring These Qualifications For Aerodynamics Engineer: <ul><li>2+ years professional experience in aerodynamics design</li><li>Proficiency in FlightStream, FUN3D, or similar aerodynamics CFD tools.</li><li>Experience in grid generation and meshing techniques for various geometries, ensuring accurate and efficient simulations.</li><li>Extensive aerodynamics design experience, including CFD analysis, wind tunnel testing, correlating analysis with test data, and optimization.</li></ul>These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:<ul><li>Knowledge of fluid dynamics analysis and simulation and ability to select appropriate models for different flow regimes.</li><li>Strong fundamentals including knowledge of simplified formulas for hand-calcs, semiempirical methods, and when to apply different approaches.</li><li>Software development experience in Python or a similar language. Experience setting up scripted optimization pipelines that include aerodynamic solvers.</li><li>Experience with aircraft development programs, for example FAA Part 23 or 25.</li><li>Excellent verbal &amp; written communication skills in English</li><li>Flight experience, for example Private Pilot (PPL) or above.</li></ul>Education<ul><li>Bachelor's or above in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar</li></ul><div>Base Pay Range: </div><div>$113,000—$176,000 USD</div>
