Explore alternative sources for goods and materials. Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new suppliers in order to reduce costs where possible. Perform tenders and issue request for quotations/proposals (RFQ/RFP) to potential suppliers. Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible.</li><li>Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials. Communicate supply problems and may pose a risk or impact on business operation. Contact supplier to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issue.</li><li>Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities. Actively search information about financial status, legal irregularities, sustainability and other aspects for suppliers that might harm Xylem as a cooperation partner and customer</li><li>Negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing procurement and negotiation best practice tools and methods. Build, maintain and manage supplier relationship. Ensure good communication, professional and consistent approach in relation to supplier.</li><li>Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.</li><li>Deliver procurement projects on time</li><li>Manage PPV (Purchase Price Variance) and control vendor pricelists, invoice and credit notes</li><li>Working Capital focus with Payment Term, Inventory agreements &amp; Supply replenishment definition</li><li>Deliver briefs, reports and updates when required.</li></ul>KEY COMPETENCIES:<ul><li>Analytical skills and result orientation: effectively examines events, issues and problems and determine implications, isolating root causes and ensuring they are solving whole problems rather than simply addressing symptoms.</li><li>Accuracy, diligence and commitment: able to effectively convey their ideas and messages both formally and informally, in speaking and in writing.
